Nolan's 1st Birthday
Nolan's birthday was a special day! It came quickly for Lesley and I. We can hardly believe that the year went by so quickly. We look forward to the coming year as he continues to develop and be such a happy and smiley little boy. We celebrated his birthday over Easter weekend when some of Lesley's family was in town. We did a second small birthday on Friday where we FaceTime'd my parents in Utah. Some of Nolan's favorite presents were his panda bear, blocks, pirate ship, and car. I made his cake as is tradition in my family. My dad made birthday cakes for our birthdays based on what we were into that year. It's a tradition I hope to continue. I never truly appreciated my dad's cakes until I tried making one myself. It is long and hard work.

Finally a blog post
I haven't written in a long time. Oops. Its time to catch everybody up on our lives and most importantly on little Nolan. My work is going good. We have been keeping busy and having a lot of fun. Lesley is still staying home and being mommy all day. I have to give her props because it looks like exhausting work. Luckily she is able to take some naps while he is napping. She always keeps the house clean and somehow manages to feed me when I get home from work. She goes to the gym frequently and pumps iron.
We spent Thanksgiving at our house. We spent Christmas at my parent's home in Utah. Lesley and I were able to go snowboarding a couple times. We had a fun Christmas party hosted by my mom that included Danny's amazing Mexican food and chimes and the Christmas story led by Grandma's Jones and Sadler.
Valentines day was nice. I made Lesley a lot of goodies. We both made homemade cards for each other which are hilarious. We went to a good Mexican food place and probably ended the evening killing zombies on COD.
We've had a couple sunny days which makes me itch for Spring. I don't have any projects inside or outside. We are looking to schedule a trip in the near future that involves lots of sunshine and beaches. We're thinking of Costa Rica or Hawaii. I've learned that it is awful difficult to plan trips around a kid and a couple dogs.
I need to wish my old man a happy birthday. Also, coming up in a couple months is a special birthday for Lesley. I won't tell how old she is turning, but I will tell you that it rhymes with "dirty."
Well, that's all for now.
