Lesley and I just got back from Costa Rica. It was an amazing vacation! We went with our friends Landon and Amy. It was stress free and the scenery was beautiful. It gave me a chance to use my Spanish from years ago. The place we stayed was remote. The beaches were empty. The people were really nice. The water was hot. The waves were good.
We stayed at Costa Paraiso in a little town called Dominical. Our little bungalow was right next to the ocean. We would open up our windows and doors at night and feel the breeze and hear the waves crashing on the rocks. I would definitely go again in a heartbeat. It took about nine hours in the air to get there from Portland (where Nolan was being taken care of by aunt Linz..thanks again by the way)
(the view from the restaurant at Costa Paraiso. the food was amazing)
(my feet found the rocks while surfing)
(the view from our pool)
(it was rainy season, so it rained really hard at least once every day)
(some locals' homes)
(horseback riding to Nauyaca
(I've never seen ants do this in real life)
(the view from our bungalow)
(hermit crabs)
(Dominicalito beach where we surfed)
(walking on the bridge to see the alligators)
